  12.       I've come up with another wonderful invention.  This is a totally
  13.   passive, nonpowered radar scrambler.  It will so widely scatter the
  14.   return Doppler signal (the bounce back off of your car) that the sending
  15.   unit will receive an invalid signal and not register any speed on the
  16.   display.

  20.       This device has been tested against the real thing, my neighbor is 
  21.   a town cop and we tried it out.  He parked on a straight road with a 
  22.   long bend in it, just around the bend.  I had my $200.00 Radio Shack
  23.   Radar Detector on (as always) as I approached.  I picked him up sending
  24.   his signal, about 3/4 of a mile away.  As I can around the bend, my
  25.   detector went nuts as I came into the full field.  After I passed him,
  26.   turned around and came back, he told me that his dash unit would not
  27.   lock onto a speed.  This is because the internal signal checking and 
  28.   validation circuits were getting such garbage back that they did not 
  29.   know what to do with the information.  Almost all of the high end
  30.   police units have data error circuits and will reject garbage.
  31.        This will save your butt, because the cop cannot stop you and give
  32.   you a ticket for speeding when this happens.  If you take him to court
  33.   he must show records of the readings and won't be able to since there
  34.   were no readings at all.

  36.        I am by no means telling you that you don't need a good radar
  37.   detector.  By the way, my neighbor the cop and I both recommend either
  38.   the best Radio Shack (the really small super het unit) or the Escort
  39.   or the Passport by Cincinatti Microwaves.  The Shack unit is much cheaper
  40.   and the difference is Marginal - We've test all three.

  42.        What the Passive Scrambler - Defender will do for you is to save 
  43.   your Butt on those occasions when you don't have a detector, forgot to
  44.   turn it on, or have been hit with The EVIL PULSE GUN.  There is no other
  45.   defense against the EVIL PULSE GUN other than what we have here, or to
  46.   never - ever go over the SPEED LIMIT.

  61.        in about 2 hours.  The parts are easy to get and you might
  62.        have some of these things already in the house if you are a 
  63.        hobby kind of guy ( or gal ).

  66.        wiring diagrams (simple) and instructions.  As an engineer, one thing
  67.        that I have learned is to keep things very very simple, and this
  68.        kit is just that.
